‘Stay True to You in the Face of Adversity,’ Vietnam Veteran Says

For Immediate Release

KINGSTON, Mich., – We are not defined by what we go through in life, but by how we respond moving forward.

Charlie Woods is an Irish-Christian Vietnam War veteran who served as a law enforcement officer for 25 years, experiencing bullying, crime and violence. Rather than being hardened by these experiences, Woods became a born-again Christian, achieving hope, forgiveness and positivity in his life.

In his new book, The Hand of God: Apostle of Christ, Woods shares how to lead a positive and fulfilling life amidst hardship and devastating circumstances through faith.

“I have served my country in war, my community through riots, racial upheavals, drugs and a huge assortment of crime and violence,” Woods says. “I have given much of myself physically and emotionally and through it all I am a blessed man.”

The Hand of God covers topics like dealing with bullies, violence and war, faith gives us strength when we are weak, and forgiveness can be realized and mistakes can be overcome.

Through the book, Woods has one ultimate goal: To remind readers that forgiveness and leading a positive life can be achieved by anyone who seeks it.

“In my book I share things I have never shared with anyone,” Woods says. “Readers may laugh and may cry, but they won’t put it down until they finish it.”
