Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) offers an opportunity to jump start your military career by starting in High School. Since 1916 the JROTC has been preparing young people to take their place of leadership by instilling character and responsibility in JROTC recruits. A high school graduate that has completed two years of JROTC is eligible to enter recruit training as an E-2. A high school graduate with three years of JROTC is eligible to enter recruit training as an E-3.

Army ROTC Army ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) is one of the best leadership courses in the country and is part of your college curriculum. The Army Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC) is a program to prepare you to be a leader, in and out of the U.S. Army. You can join the ROTC anytime during college or even get a head start by joining the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Course) in high school. Enrolling in the Army ROTC Basic Course does NOT involve a commitment of service to the Army unless you have received an Army ROTC scholarship. If you do go Army when you graduate, you will be an Officer in the U.S. Army.
