Top 7 Must Go Places in Melbourne for 2022

MAY 18, 2022 – If you’re looking for a perfect destination to enjoy your tourism – Melbourne is the city you cannot miss. Some of the best airlines you can fly with to get to Melbourne are Delta Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Air France, and some more.

A traveler visits any city in a country, in hopes of finding exciting views and doing things that are fun.

In this blog post, we will explore the top 7 things you can do in Australia’s amazing city of Melbourne.

The Royal Botanic Gardens

The beautiful and vast garden has a variety of about 8500 plant species, zen lakes, and lawns that are lush beauty.

Located in the very middle of the city of Melbourne, these gardens are an ideal spot for family picnics and present a different ambiance that’s just great for having a good and delicious lunch.

The huge expansion of these gardens makes it a great place which allows you to go for a blissful private experience in which there is no staring from people around – as the gardens are pretty huge in their vast expansion.

The Hot Air Balloon Experience

It’s not that you will find hot air balloons in the countryside only while visiting Melbourne.

So, the hot air balloon trip starts out also before the time of dawn. So, if you’re an early riser, or you are willing to rise up early to get to see the sun rising up.

To your good fortune, during the time of dawn when the sun rises, you will not see a lot of people around at that time.

The feeling in the sky when the time of sunrise is near is so surreal and amazing that the spots where you travel around and land your balloon is always an awe-inspiring experience.

During the whole trip on the hot balloon, you may get to check out your favorite Melbourne destinations from above and get to see other things the way you had never seen before.

An Awesome Driving Experience on the Great Ocean Road

One of the most famous tourist destinations for travelers is the Great Ocean Road snakes when you’re driving your car or another vehicle all along the southwest coast of the state.

The best thing in terms of the thrill is that the winding stretch of road provides tourists a great opportunity to reconnect with the coast of the ocean.

The thrilling views of nature from the bushes and the sounds of the birds and waves bursting air to awe-inspiring sights of nature are just a whole another experience to explore.

Be it an experience of just walking, driving in a relaxed way, sailing, or cycling along the coast – the scenery and the vibe is what will never fail to give you the exciting adventurous vibe no matter what means of traveling around you use.

The Degraves Street

Melbourne city is a place in the world that’s globally popular for its laneways and arcades. Among all these, the Degraves Street is arguably the best place to visit.

The Degraves Street connects Flinders Lane with Flinders Street and it has a number of well-known cafes that offer an on-street dining experience.

While you explore and shop around, we suggest that you try out the cafes serving amazing food.

Have Some Good Time at the Melbourne Zoo

Outside of the city’s CBD, you can get to explore a huge sight of animals where many of the world’s animals can be seen.

The zoo of Melbourne has all the animals to show that you need to have a good time enjoying the beauty of nature.

From the amazing butterfly room to the close-knit family of big-eared beauties – you will get to see or may discover something new and unique for the first time in your life.

This zoo is known for its range of entertainment activities with respect to the animals housed there. This is the place where there is always something going on. Where, on the one hand, visitors get to see Zoo twilights concert series in the hot summers, to the yummy high tea.

Enjoy a Cocktail at Beneath Driver Lane

This is a bar in the city of Melbourne that is basically an underground hidden bar. And you’ll find this bar to be arguably the best among some of the city’s superb hidden bars.

If you’re a big fan of having sandwiches, cocktails, or liquor late in the night at 3 am, then it’s a must that you go to this bar named ‘Beneath Driver Lane’.

This bar is a place where you can get to enjoy liquor – which is actually a rare experience to have as most of Melbourne’s subterranean spots are very much underused.

Another reason why a visit to this bar is a must is that you must check out the selection of whiskey that reaches in numbers up to 100 plus.

The Queen Victoria Market

It’s an open-air market whose one specialty is that there you’ll find stores of veteran stallholders. These people are very much passionate about the fresh produce and they will be more than happy to tell you all about it.

When it comes to locals of Melbourne living close or far away in that area, they always see this market as their go-to spot for fresh fruit, vegetables, and other fresh foods to consume such as meat, dairy etc.

Today, you’ll find an enormously big amount of stalls thereon which so many other things are sold. This growth in the number and types of goods has turned Queen Victoria Market into a big market in which so much is sold that’s more than your weekly shopping needs.

However, it’s important you get to know the opening hours and holidays of the market – as it’s usually closed on Monday and Wednesday.

Something you would not want to miss is the fresh-baked hot donuts of the van business called American Doughnut Kitchen. The crunchiness and the vanilla flavoring are just too tempting that you’ll end up eating more than one.

More so, these doughnuts are quite literally covered with strawberry jam and sugar.
