Give Your Feedback on TRICARE Website

DECEMBER 18, 2025 – Would you like to help tricare.mil become even more helpful to you and your family members? Do you have ideas that will improve the look and content of the website? The Defense Health Agency Usability Lab needs participants to give feedback on how TRICARE conveys benefit information to tricare.mil users.

The DHA Usability Lab kicked off the first tricare.mil usability study in September 2025. It is now launching a second phase of a study to improve the TRICARE website. This study will be conducted from Dec. 29, 2025, through Feb. 28, 2026. For this phase, the lab is seeking more participants from the following groups:

  • Active duty service members and family members
  • National Guard and Reserve members and family members

What’s the purpose of the study?
The study aims to ensure the website allows users to:

  • Identify usability issues and navigation problems
  • Find gaps in clarity of information
  • Locate and use self-service options for common care-related needs

It will help address issues to improve navigation, find content that’s repeated, and identify ineffective search features.

How does the study work?
You’ll participate remotely using Microsoft Teams. Study leaders will moderate the session—which lasts about an hour—while participants interact with the live site. You don’t need to have a current Common Access Card or Uniformed Services ID card to participate. You’ll only need to use the live version of tricare.mil.

What will I do during the session?
You’ll follow instructions to complete specific tasks on the website. As you navigate, you’ll be asked to make comments about your experience. During the session, study leaders will:

  • Monitor and guide the process using a testing script
  • Observe task performance and ask post-task questions
  • Record and assess participants’ behavior, comments, and interactions

What else is there to know?
The DHA Usability Lab is looking for participants with different TRICARE health plans, ages, locations, and life experiences. To participate, you must:

  • Be a current TRICARE beneficiary
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a computer or mobile device to access tricare.mil and Microsoft Teams (no Microsoft Teams account required)
  • Have a stable internet connection and the ability to share your screen
  • Have a working microphone
  • Be available on weekdays between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET

How do I join the study?
It’s easy to volunteer. Just email the DHA Usability Lab at dha.jblm.solution-deliv.list.dha-usability-lab@health.mil. Include “TRICARE Usability Study/Phase 2” in your subject line. In the email, please include your:

  • Name
  • Age range
    • 18-24
    • 25-34
    • 35-44
    • 45-54
    • 55+
  • Status
    • Active duty service member
    • Active duty family member
    • National Guard or Reserve member
    • National Guard or Reserve family member

If you’d like to join, you must send your email by Jan. 30, 2026. (Note: The DHA may not be able to include everyone who’s interested in phase two. Study leaders will choose participants on a first come, first served basis.)

Are you unable to join this study? Are you still interested in sharing your thoughts? Keep an eye on the TRICARE Newsroom for future usability study notices, or consider submitting website feedback via the tricare.mil questionnaire. You can answer questions about how you were using the website, if you found what you were looking for, and how to improve the content.
