May Round-Up Campaign to Benefit Folds of Honor

MAY 1, 2025 – GolfNow will begin a month-long campaign today to honor our nation’s fallen or disabled heroes, providing anyone using its family of websites to book a tee time with an opportunity to “round up” to benefit Folds of Honor.

Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization founded by Lt Col Dan Rooney, which helps ease the burden on military and first-responder families through educational scholarships. The 2025 campaign represents year four of GolfNow’s philanthropic project.

Throughout May, messaging on the GolfNow and TeeOff tee-time service websites will encourage anyone booking a tee time online or via its mobile app to round up the cost of the booking to the nearest dollar. The additional money will be donated to Folds of Honor to help further its educational opportunities for the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled who protect our communities and country. Over the past three years of the Folds of Honor campaign, which has been conducted each May, more than $350,000 has been raised.

“This is about changing lives for the better,” said Todd Triplett, Senior Vice President, GolfNow. “It has been an honor to partner with Folds of Honor and we’re proud of the golfers who have chosen to stand up and salute the commitment and sacrifice these families have made for our country and its citizens.”

“We are so grateful to the outstanding teams at GolfNow and TeeOff, and the patriots who visit the websites and book tee times,” said Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “Golf is a philanthropic game and this campaign demonstrates the good that can be accomplished when people want to make a positive difference. I want to thank everyone who reserves a tee time on these outstanding sites and rounds up for making a life-changing educational difference for families who have sacrificed so much.”

GolfNow and TeeOff together operate the largest online tee-time marketplace in golf, and GolfNow is the industry’s leading provider of golf course operations software and services, partnering with thousands of golf courses around the world. Anyone booking tee times on GolfNow or TeeOff from May 1-31will be provided the opportunity to round up the total cost of the reservation to an even-dollar figure. For example, if the cost of a tee time totals $34.65, the golfer can elect to round up the cost to $35, donating the additional $0.35 to Folds of Honor.

Several Folds of Honor charity recipients below share thoughts about their connection to projects like the GolfNow round-up:

Alycia H.
“It’s an honor to receive a Folds of Honor scholarship. I’m extremely grateful to Folds and all the people and organizations that made it possible. My dad was in the military and it shows that he’s appreciated for his hard work. A Folds of Honor scholarship helps me attend college and pays my tuition because it’s super expensive. So many patriots and so many people show their kindness and support.”

Kalin C.
“It’s been an amazing opportunity to have a Folds of Honor scholarship. I was able to focus on school because grades are the most important thing. It removes the burden of financial stress. To know all these people support the military and first responders makes me so happy.”

Jenna J:
“My Folds of Honor Scholarship means more to me than just a secure path to achieving my college education. To me, this scholarship represents the support of America. Knowing that my dad’s continued sacrifice for our country, and my family’s tireless endeavors for a brighter future, is matched and maintained by my fellow Americans means hope for the future of our country. I am deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer, and affiliate with Folds of Honor; their ongoing support is more than financial. It’s patriotic. Thank you for helping my family continue to live out our American Dream.”

Megan A
“These are many real patriots out there. It’s always an honor to meet and thank those who support Folds of Honor. They allow me to excel in school and make my Marine veteran dad proud.”

Jurley T. (Gold Star wife)
“My children receiving a Folds of Honor scholarship is a daily reminder that my late husband’s sacrifice is not forgotten. Knowing there is a community of supporters alongside us on this journey is something I’ll be forever grateful for.

The sacrifice that he and my family have made is celebrated and honored at Folds of Honor and across the country. Because of Folds of Honor, local kids will have the same life-changing opportunities that my three have had.”

Folds of Honor is among the many charitable organizations – also including Youth on Course, Special Olympics, and the non-profit organizations aided by the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative, to name a few – that have benefited from round-up campaigns conducted by GolfNow. Since 2021, GolfNow has helped raise a combined total of more than $5.3 million.
