The Army Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC) is a program to prepare you to be a leader, in and out of the U.S. Army. You can join the ROTC anytime during college or even get a head start by joining the JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Course) in high school. Enrolling in the Army ROTC Basic Course does NOT involve a commitment of service to the Army unless you have received an Army ROTC scholarship. If you do go Army when you graduate, you will be an Officer in the U.S. Army.

Make Your Training And Experience Pay Off

The Army ROTC Green to Gold Programs seek talented young enlisted soldiers who have decided to:

– Leave, or are considering leaving, active duty to attend college to earn baccalaureate degrees and commission as second lieutenants (this is the Green to Gold Scholarship Option Program).

– Remain on active duty to attend college to earn baccalaureate degrees and commission as second lieutenants (this is the Green to Gold Active Duty Option Program).

Quality enlisted soldiers with officer potential who have served at least two years on active duty are allowed to voluntarily participate and enroll in Army ROTC.
