Provost’s Pre-College Summer Program for Military Dependents

Offered by the University of Southern California Summer Programs Office, this program provides scholarship opportunities for highly-motivated and gifted high school students from active military families to enroll in a rigorous four-week, for-credit USC Summer initiative. Those accepted into the program will have their entire tuition paid by the scholarship. Through the program, you will participate in military activities for students besides engaging in actual military school classes and workloads. The program allows you to have a glimpse of college life while simultaneously building your enthusiasm to pursue a career in the military. 

Camp Sousley

Located in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, this is one of the country’s best military programs for high school students. It accepts students between 15 and 18 years old and takes them through classes offering short courses designed to resemble actual military training in the US Army, Marines, and Navy. The youth learn fundamental military tactics at the camp, such as marksmanship, air jumping, and basic martial arts training. They also run obstacle courses, besides rappelling down cliffs and towers. Camp Corral

The institution offers high school classes for military, specifically relying on the principles of the US Marine Corps. It believes the soldier mindset is indispensable for any individual seeking a life of character, leadership, and discipline. Through activities like zip lining, rock climbing, and high rope challenges, this school allows you to face your fears while learning to collaborate with others. 

Academy By the Sea Summer Camp

Located in Carlsbad Village, in Southern California, this Army and Navy Academy’s beachfront campus is one of the most prestigious military programs for high school students, serving grades 7 to 12. A co-ed day and boarding summer camp, the program offers you a unique opportunity to select from six experiential learning courses, including aquaculture, aviation, leadership, athletic performance, band, and computer science. However, it is not free as a fee of $4500 and $3000 is to be paid by borders and day-schoolers, respectively. You can also reserve a chance to pursue a different course the following year once you have completed your current course. 

Hargrave Military Academy

Hargrave Military Academy is among the best high school military programs offering a summer session for teenage boys in grades 7 to 12. XMC Camp

The camp boasts highly qualified professional and experienced instructors who facilitate a two-week Cadet Basic Training course for high school students aged between 13 and 18. While enrolled in this program, you will learn skills that include self-defense, water survival, obstacle training, and marksmanship. Fork Union
