
DECEMBER 21, 2021 – It’s been two years since a new military branch was created to protect the United States and allied interests in space. The youngest branch of the U.S. military was established on December 20, 2019, with the passage of that year’s National Defense Authorization Act.
The U.S. Space Force celebrated its second birthday Monday as the Pentagon’s newest branch navigates the transition from late-night talk show punch line to full-fledged military service.
