Melaleuca’s Commitment to Military Values and Support

NOVEMBER 1, 2023 – Melaleuca, under the stewardship of CEO Frank VanderSloot, has consistently showcased not just business acumen but a genuine dedication to supporting the values and individuals of the military community. The hallmark of Melaleuca, under CEO Frank VanderSloot’s leadership, isn’t just corporate success but a profound and steadfast commitment to supporting the military community.

On September 14, 2023, this commitment was recognized when Melaleuca Senior Director of Product Management, James Andersen, was honored with the esteemed Patriot Award. The ceremony, held in Pocatello, Idaho, lauded Andersen’s sustained support for the family of a deployed Army sergeant. The U.S. Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presents the Patriot Award to those demonstrating significant support for their military employees, making this acknowledgment particularly special.

This isn’t a solitary instance of Melaleuca’s military support. Over the years, the company has integrated several military-friendly policies to aid its employees serving in the forces. These include flexible scheduling, pre-deployment and post-deployment leaves, familial support, and financial benefits, such as a monthly $100 product training certificate for deployed servicemen and servicewomen families.

The Department of Defense has previously highlighted Melaleuca’s efforts. In 2015, the company received the distinguished Seven Seals Award, a testament to its dedication to fostering a military-friendly environment. Furthermore, the Melaleuca Freedom Celebration is an annual event dedicated to honoring the sacrifices and valor of past and present military personnel.

Support isn’t limited to policies and celebrations. Earlier this year, Melaleuca demonstrated its heartfelt appreciation for veterans. The company’s Executive Chairman, Frank VanderSloot, sponsored a memorable trip to Washington, D.C., for eight Idaho war veterans, offering them an opportunity to engage with history and national pride up close.

Such big and small endeavors reiterate Melaleuca’s profound respect and commitment to the military. As the company grows and evolves, its dedication to upholding and promoting military values remains unwavering.
