
JUNE 22, 2026 – U.S. Coast Guard Sector Maryland – National Capital Region has issued two Marine Safety Information Bulletins for the Salute to America 250 and Sail 250 Maryland and Air Show Baltimore events taking place in the National Capital Region, Wednesday.
Marine Safety Information Bulletins are notices issued by the United States Coast Guard to quickly distribute important maritime safety, security, environmental, or regulatory information to mariners, port stakeholders, and the public.
The purpose of the rules and regulations during Salute to America 250 and Sail 250 Maryland and Air Show Baltimore are to ensure the safety of waterway users, event staff, and first responders throughout the events.
Marine Safety Information Bulletin 09-26 will include all pertinent information regarding Sail 250 Maryland and Air Show Baltimore. The bulletin can be found on the Coast Guard Navigation Center website here.
Marine Safety Information Bulletin 10-26 will include all pertinent information regarding Salute to America 250 in Washington D.C. The bulletin can be found on the Coast Guard Navigation Center website here

The Coast Guard is the lead federal agency for maritime safety, security, and law enforcement during Sail 250. The service has surged personnel and assets to provide a heightened and visible presence across the maritime domain throughout Sail 250.
Coast Guard Sector Maryland – National Capital Region often works closely with local, state, and federal partners in the region during large scale events and incidents including National Special Security Events such as Presidential inaugurations and State of the Union Addresses.
