JANUARY 27, 2026 — As part of the Army’s efforts to directly partner with technology experts, the Army established Project ARIA, Army Rapid Implementation of AI, led by the Deputy Under Secretary of the Army Mr. David R. Fitzgerald.
Through Project ARIA, the Army has partnered with numerous artificial intelligence, technology, and industry experts to identify, analyze and develop AI-driven solutions to three of the Army’s pressing problems.
The initial iteration of Project ARIA seeks integrate AI into its internal business processes, create AI model delivery capabilities to tactical formations, and create an AI-informed supply chain for the Organic Industrial Base.

With the approval of Army Senior Leaders, the three teams will now execute their plans to develop these solutions.
As the Army prepares to develop the next set of AI enabled solutions, Project ARIA is seeking nominations to pursue future development efforts.
Army personnel can submit nominations for future Project ARIA candidates at the CAC-enabled survey.
Submissions must be received by February 6, 2026.

Each nominated project must also include the submission of a project lead at the rank of GS-15 or O-6 level who will be responsible for planning and developing the project.
