JULY 21, 2026 – The Department of the Air Force has appointed 14 new members to serve on the Department of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.
These appointments, nominated by the secretary of the Air Force and approved by the secretary of War, bring a diverse range of expertise from the private sector and academia.
The new members will play a crucial role in advising senior Air Force and Space Force leadership, including the secretary of the Air Force, the chief of staff of the Air Force and the chief of Space Operations, on complex scientific and technical challenges.
Their insights and recommendations will be instrumental in shaping the future of air and space capabilities, ensuring the Department remains at the forefront of innovation.

These leaders will provide independent, data-driven advice to assist the Department accelerate the development and deployment of advanced technology.
