When you join the Army Reserve you will earn competitive pay in addition to the income from your civilian job. You will receive regular paychecks for one weekend per month unit training and two weeks of field training each year. The higher your rank the higher your paycheck. - Specialist or Corporal (E4) with less than two years of service: $4,198.95
- Specialist or Corporal (E4) with four years of service: $4,888.80
- Specialist or Corporal (E4) with six years of service: $5,097.33
- Sergeant (E5) with less than two years of service: $4,580.10
- Sergeant (E5) with four years of service: $5,365.71
- Sergeant (E5) with six years of service: $5,742.45
- Staff Sergeant (E6) with less than two years of service: $4,999.68
- Staff Sergeant (E6) with four years of service: $5,979.96
- Staff Sergeant (E6) with six years of service: $6,226.29
