OCTOBER 3, 2025 – Joint Task Force-Bravo and U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines will join Panamanian security forces Oct. 9–29, 2025, for the Combined Jungle Operations Training Course, coordinated and led by Joint Security Cooperation Group – Panama, to build interoperability and strengthen regional security.
Approximately 50 Marines arrived aboard a U.S. Air Force C-130 Hercules to integrate with Panamanian security institutions—including the National Border Service, National Air and Naval Service, and National Police. Participants will train side by side in survival, small-unit tactics, and medical evacuation, reinforcing trust across partner forces.
Two HH-60 Black Hawk helicopters from Joint Task Force-Bravo’s 1st Battalion, 228th Aviation Regiment will arrive Oct. 6 to provide dedicated medical evacuation coverage throughout the course.
A combined medical team of U.S. and Panamanian personnel will be on-site, ensuring continuous support for students during the training events.
Instruction will be delivered by cadre from Panama’s security services and U.S. Army instructors with the 25th Infantry Division’s Lightning Academy.
The course is designed to test endurance, build trust, and strengthen the ability of U.S. and Panamanian forces to operate together in one of the world’s most demanding environments.
These activities demonstrate the enduring partnership between the United States and Panama, working shoulder-to-shoulder to strengthen regional security.
