SEPTEMBER 19, 2025 – Military spouses play a vital role on the Homefront—now there’s a scholarship just for them.
The Homefront Scholars Military Spouse Scholarship offered by Pioneer Military Credit awards $1,000 annually to help Military spouses pursue their academic and professional dreams. This scholarship offers crucial support for spouses of Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve service members.
The scholarship recognizes the sacrifices and dedication of military spouses, who often balance family obligations, frequent moves, and other challenges, while striving to advance their education. Whether you’re just starting a program, going back to finish a degree, or seeking a certificate or technical training, the Homefront Scholars award can help cover education-related costs such as tuition, fees, or books.
“Military Spouses are the backbone of military families,” said Tonia Ross, Director of Military Relations at Pioneer Military Credit. “With this scholarship, we aim to break down barriers to education and fuel the dreams of those that support our service members every day.”
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be legally married to a member of Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve service
- Be enrolled or accepted to be enrolled in an accredited institution (college, university, technical/vocational school)
- Be pursuing an associate’s, bachelor’s, graduate, or certificate/diploma program
- Complete an application, including submission of an original essay explaining how being a military spouse has shaped their goals and what they hope to achieve through their educational journey.
Applications are accepted year-round with a December 31st deadline for the next year scholarship. The winner will be announced and funds disbursed in February.
By offering this scholarship, Pioneer Military Credit reinforces its mission of supporting military families—not just via financial services, but by investing in their future potential. For military spouses, this opportunity can make a real difference in overcoming barriers to higher learning.
