Video of a Live Fire Exercise, Media Hands-On Weapons Familiarization and Media Roundtable Event hosted by Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Ga. During the live-fire exercise, Infantry Fighting Vehicles will engage multiple targets. Mortar Carrier Vehicles will provide suppressive fire with 81mm mortars. A nine-man Infantry squad will conduct an attack with squad weapons—the M4 Carbine, M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, M203 Grenade Launcher and the AT4 Anti-tank Missile—and various enablers like optics and lasers. Following the demonstration, media will have the opportunity to fire selected small arms weapons. 09.20.2012
