The Base-X company displays a range of tents in front of Lejeune Hall to show local Marines and commands new technology available. The shelters range in size from personal tents to Corps-level Command and Control complexes. Base-X shelters of all sizes offer the same high level of interconnectivity, durability, and ease of deployment. (USMC photo)


Marines with 7th Communications Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force, sit down flooring in a Base-X Expedition Shelter at Camp Hansen. The Base-X expedition shelter is self-contained as opposed to the old general-purpose tent, which came in several pieces and required individual poles to be place in order to set it up.
