Camel Spiders in Iraq
This photo (click to enlarge) has been circulating around the Internet and appears to show two camel spiders as big as a man's leg. Camel spiders are big, but not as big as they appear in the photo. If you look closely in the upper right hand side you will see the cuff of the soldier's sleeve, indicating that this is a close up of the spiders with a soldier's legs in the distance. Camel spiders actually are said to be about the size of a palm. Why are there two spiders in the photo? Some reports indicate that soldiers are staging fights between spiders for entertainment.
