OCTOBER 27, 2016, JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas (AFNS) – More than 700 Air Force civilian employees were selected for basic, intermediate and senior developmental education opportunities during the 2016 Civilian Developmental Education Board held at the Air Force Personnel Center last month.
The board considered 916 high-potential employees for education opportunities that best suit their career goals and the needs of the Air Force and designated 720 who will attend developmental education during the 2017-2018 academic year.
“The Air Force emphasizes the development of the entire workforce,” said Loretta Brown, the Air Force Personnel Center leadership development program administrator. “We continue to develop current and future civilian leaders, to expand their knowledge and increase their understanding of the role of air, space and cyberspace power.”
Those selected for intermediate and senior development education will attend advanced training and senior leadership development programs such as Air War College, the Executive Leadership Development Program and more, following the continuum of learning that spans a civilian’s professional career.
